We thoroughly tested FlexClip, so you can enjoy it. This is an unbiased FlexClip review based on our experience with the online video editing platform.
FlexClip is an online platform for video editing that runs on the browser. It has all the features you’d expect to edit videos; adding shapes, fonts, adding free stock images/videos, music, and it even lets you add your own custom watermarks.
The interface is easy to navigate.
The site is loaded with templates in case you need to put something together quickly. If you want a more custom fell the upper left corner, gives you the option to start from scratch.
In the top bar, you can see all your previous projects. From there you can rename, duplicate or delete the projects. Below all that, you can browse hundreds of beautiful and professional templates, which are a great starting point.
Clicking on the “Start From Scratch” button prompts you to choose between two editing modes:
- Storyboard mode – this is the native mode of FlexClip. You can trim clips and add effects very easily with an intuitive editor.
- Timeline mode (Currently in beta): you can use a timeline with multiple tracks to create complex but highly customizable video.
When you choose Storyboard mode, you first need to decide which aspect ratio you want to use. Which aspect ratio you choose depends on what you’re planning to present on. Conveniently, FlexClip recommends certain aspect ratios.
The Media tab opens two options to add files.
- Local Files – upload local media.
- Recording (Record Screen, Record Webcam) – record a clip and instantly upload it.
They also offer plenty of excellent quality stock images, videos, and music files to choose from.
A very important tool is Text. FlexClip has a number of presets, both basic and dynamic, that you can easily add by simply selecting on them. You may change font colors, font style (bold, italic), size, and alignment.
Adding Overlay & Background
To make the video come to life, FlexClip gives you the ability to add overlays, elements, and backgrounds with a click of a button.
Background music is essential to make any video more interesting.
Music sets the tone of videos. To add a new music track, simply click on the Music tab and choose between the FlexClip convenient audio Library or browse Your Music.
Once you successfully add a music track to your video, you can do all kinds of edits. Like trim it, change volume, and even make it Fade In and Fade Out, or Loop.
FlexClip has a straightforward pricing system.
There are 4 different plans from which you can choose – Free, Basic, Plus, and Business.
The key difference between the plans is download resolution, the number of projects, stock videos allowed per project, and a few minor features, and of course price.
You can toggle between cheaper annual plans (save up to 50%) or more expensive monthly plans.
